The Phoenix Challenge: Day 2

| Posted in Training |

Alright, day 2 is over and I was back at the gym with a friend today. We had a light workout, I showed him some exercises (he’s also gaining muscle to get bulkier). Looking forward to working out with him in the future, should be fun!

Now, today’s food:
Nuts (300 cals)
McDonald’s (670 cals)
6 cups of milk (around 960 cals plus some protein shake, about 200 cals)
Cheese Strings (400 cals)
Soup
Sweets and crisps (watched World Basketball Championship, can’t do without beer and crisps then :P) 300 cals

I am not posting this day’s workout because it was really light and really easy. Friday’s workout will be much harder, but still not 100 percent.

Cheers,
Adrian

Phoenix Challenge: Day 1

So the Challenge has started. No gym today but I’m there tomorrow with a co-worker and we both will be bustin’ our butts.

Today’s goal was start eating a lot and get used to eating more. I started off ok I think:

6 cups of milk (960 cals)
Cheese string (around 600 cals)
2 sandwiches (444 cals)
Nuts (around 500 cals)
2 Yogurts (250 cals)
2 eggs (less than 200 cals)

In total I had about 3000 cals. I still need to work on it and add 2 cups of milk and eat every two hours. I think I could get to 3500 cals a day. And if I keep this up for 90 days, I should be back at 132lbs!

Update comin’ tomorrow!

Cheers

The Phoenix Challenge: Diet Plan

As the Challenge starts tomorrow already I am doing myself a ”diet” plan. Since it’s the most important thing in gaining muscle and toughest part for me, I will pay most attention to this. Not eating enough has held me down all the time and this time I am setting a big target for calories a day. Here is a skeleton of a plan of what I will be eating daily:

The Phoenix Challenge: Preparation

Hey there,

I’m back with another challenge for myself in order to gain muscle. I’m starting a new 90-day challenge. I failed with last one but won’t with this one. My goal is to re-gain 12lbs during this time.

During my vacation in Chicago at the end of July I had teeth problems and lost quite a lot (8lbs). So now my goal is to regain them and add 4 more lbs to get back to my personal best 132lbs.

In this challenge I will mostly focus on nutrition, not on training. I must post update every day on this blog from day 1 to day 90 with the list of things I ate… I haven’t come up with the list of foods I will eat daily but I will do it in the coming days. Lucky for me I found another nice source of calories that I like and can eat daily!

One thing that will influence my success will be new job also. I am hoping to start working a less-physical work daily, more like an office-type work which should save me calories. But, the schedule is not clear and how busy I will be there.

And the last thing is I have an interview coming with an up-and-coming trainer from Toronto Lee Boyce, he has trained a lot of skinny guys and I read one of his articles on T-Nation, it caught my attention and I contacted him to have an interview with him here, on 36Pounds.com. He agreed and we will do it in the next 10 days so a new post on this blog should be available in that time. I’m sure it will be useful for us ;)

Cheers,
Adrian
