		<description>I agree that the squat is one of the best exercises you can do, I only wish I&#039;d started sooner! I never considered squats (or deadlifts) in my first 5 years of lifting weights, but since I&#039;ve been doing them I feel strength throughout my entire body instead of just my upper body (this was to an extent due to me being in the army and running regularly so not wanting to fatigue my legs too much). I always squat deep, it feels more natural and comfortable and I like the glute/ham benefits. I am 5&#039;8 and 155lbs and deep squat 100kg for 6 reps so I reckon my 1RM is about 115kg which I&#039;m gonna try soon. I have always been a quick sprinter but now I look back in regret at not starting squatting sooner because if I did I coulda been much faster!</description>
