Workouts from Professional Bodybuilders. No! They are not good for you!

I see a lot of people doing or at least wanting to do routines from those professional bodybuilders like Arnold or Ronnie Coleman or anyone else. People think that if they do this exact workout they will look like Arnold and that these workouts are superior in some way and that they are “the Magic Pill” that will help them gain a shitload of muscle fast! NOPE! It won’t! Actually, you can do yourself disservice and stop gaining muscle completely. Why? Because those workouts are for Pro’s! And they are on steroids mostly. Their need less rest so they can train 2 times a day, they eat way more than average guy, they most likely have the better genes (they aren’t ectomorphs with only a few exceptions). So these workouts are not for simple guys like you and me who have trouble gaining muscle. What workout is good?
A simple, back to the basics type of workout routine (a lot of compound exercises for example). I have used one simple routine to gain 13lbs (the one that I posted on here ).
I know people love to look for the perfect routine, for the perfect supplement and they forget simple things (I did too, I can read hundreds of articles on advanced training techniques and I will want to try them) but the truth is SIMPLE THINS WORK and they are the basics. I am currently on a workout routine that is very basic, only 5 exercises per workout and I am gaining nice amount of strength with it, I should gain mass too. For now I am still testing it.
That’s it for today, just a short post… Now I’m gonna go read about nutrition so that I’d now more about it when writing the guide on nutrition.

Definitely stay away from the routines posted in the muscle mags. Not only are all of the pro’s on juice, but often times they don’t even follow the workouts outlined. Do what Adrian recommends and stick with the basic free weight based compound exercises – throw in some solid nutrition and you’re on your way!
