Great Read by Henry Rollins

Here is a great great article (or maybe part of book, not sure about it) form the past written by Henry Rollins. It is very very motivating for me. A story about how skinny guy (himself) changed his life when he started lifting weights and what the Iron teaches him. Wow.. I just love it and re-read it from time to time. I think you will enjoy it too ;)

I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. To not be
like you parents. To not be like your friends. To be yourself.
Completely.

When I was young I had no sense of myself. All I was, was a product of
all the fear and humiliation I suffered. Fear of my parents. The
humiliation of teachers calling me “garbage can” and telling me I’d be
mowing lawns for a living. And the very real terror of my fellow
students. I was threatened and beaten up for the color of my skin and
my size. I was skinny and clumsy, and when others would tease me I
didn’t run home crying, wondering why. I knew all too well. I was
there to be antagonized. In sports I was laughed at. A spaz. I was
pretty good at boxing but only because the rage that filled my every
waking moment made me wild and unpredictable. I fought with some
strange fury. The other boys thought I was crazy.

How to Start and Finish Your Workout

We all want to work out. At least, we like the idea of working out. Problem is that a lot of times we just aren’t motivated to start or get too lazy to finish. I’ve struggled with this my whole life and I still come across it time to time these days, but there’s a way to discipline yourself and have a rewarding workout, start to finish.

You ever feel like you were born to be unsuccessful? Loser? Unhappy? And all this because of being skinny-ass weakling whose body reminds of a girl and is not attractive? Maybe you also aren’t handsome and don’t have a face of Brad Pitt? Maybe you don’t even consider yourself worth a lot (a gorgeous, sexy girl, a great career you love and lots of fun time with friends)?
Well, I’m here to say… HELL NO!!! You are not born to be so!
