From now on my goal is to keep things when building muscle as simple as possible. I just read a book about nutrition from one nutritional specialist (he is good, I trust him) but it was so hard to read because of those damn medical/biological/chemical terms. I don’t like to read that stuff, it’s so boring. The content is great and if you get it, you have a better knowledge of how your body works instantly and it gets easier to gain muscle (a bit).. I am sure that one can tell the same stuff in simple people’s language. Maybe using metaphors would help. So from now on I am on a mission not only to help 1000 Skinny Guys go Buff but also to create a simple, easy to understand, step-by-step guide/system on training and nutrition. I like to keep things simple and I think visitors of this blog love it too.
In today’s bodybuilding, magazines and some sites write a lot of BS information. And everyone falls or have once fallen for it. They promise something so spectacular, so fast, so great that we just see it and believe it because we want as big results as possible as fast as possible! And the advertisements give that to us….
Cutting through the Bullshit:
1. I really recommend you to watch the movie Bigger Stronger Faster. It shows how the magazines and supplements companies lie to people. For example: they take people who use steroids to promote some kind of supplement so that people start to think that the exact supplement allows you to achieve it. And if you see a bodybuilding champion promoting it then it looks good and a lot of people are convinced. Or, if you see an unknown guy who has a good transformation and now looks a lot better (shredded, ripped, etc.), like in this picture:

There has been an ongoing discussion about this topic for long time. Some say free weights are better (exercises like squats, deadlifts that are done with barbell or dumbbells), some say machines (Smith machine, leg press..) are better and are safer. For me, you can’t even compare machines to free weights!

This is a short motivational video from a movie The Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith. This scene is incredibly true in anyones life. It also applies for getting the body of your dreams. Some people will say you can or should be working out and going after your dream body, but that’s only becauee they are too lazy to do something similar themselves..
Going to workout now. I’ll post another post later on!

I see a lot of people doing or at least wanting to do routines from those professional bodybuilders like Arnold or Ronnie Coleman or anyone else. People think that if they do this exact workout they will look like Arnold and that these workouts are superior in some way and that they are “the Magic Pill” that will help them gain a shitload of muscle fast! NOPE! It won’t! Actually, you can do yourself disservice and stop gaining muscle completely. Why? Because those workouts are for Pro’s! And they are on steroids mostly. Their need less rest so they can train 2 times a day, they eat way more than average guy, they most likely have the better genes (they aren’t ectomorphs with only a few exceptions). So these workouts are not for simple guys like you and me who have trouble gaining muscle. What workout is good?
